RASOUL KARMIANI earned his B.S. in animal biology from the
Lorestan University of Lorestan province, Iran in 2004 and his M.S. in animal biosystematics from Razi University,
Kermanshah, Iran in 2009. During his graduate education he studied the systematics of the Family Eublepharidae in
Iran with special reference to Eublepharis
angramainyu (Anderson and Leviton
1966). He also investigated skull comparison of the genera
Eublepharis and
Asaccus under the advisement
of Prof. Nasrullah Rastegar-Pouyani. His research interests include taxonomy, ecology, biology, conservation,
and phylogeography.
