FRANCO ANDREONE is curator of zoology and editor for scientific publications at the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali, Turin (Italy). As a member of several societies and editorial boards he is president of the International Society for the Study and Conservation of Amphibians (ISSCA) and co-chair of the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group for Madagascar.
