FRANÇOIS MAILLET

Conservation biology, husbandry, and captive breeding of the endemic Anatolia newt, Neurergus strauchiiSteindachner (1887) (Amphibia: Caudata: Salamandridae). Sergé Bogaerts, Henry Janssen, Jennifer Macke, Gunter Schultschik, Kristina Ernst, François Maillet, Christoph Bork, Frank Pasmans, and Patrick Wisniewski. FRANÇOIS MAILLET has been keeping and breeding salamanders and newts as long as he can remember. Together with Jean Raffaelli and Arnaud Jamin, he forms the core of the French Urodela Group (FUG), whose goals are to bring together knowledge and experience regarding captive bred animals, and to keep stable long-term populations of many species of newts and salamanders in captivity.
