CREATIVE CONTRIBUTION

Amphibian and Reptile Conservation encourages creative input by editors and authors

Proofs and Preproofs can be produced by the ARC, or by the articles authors, under the oversight of the articles editor.

The layout of articles will follow a standard format. However, the ARC will encourages innovation by both authors and editors in article layout, design and content through the use of their institutional logos, alternative fonts, colour, and the creative use of text and comments boxes and video.
Advantages:

If authors produce preproofs and proofs publication fees are lowered by 50%.

Learning this technique is very valuable as it provides skills for the production of books, articles, newsletters, etc. very easily and efficiently.

The creative contribution of authors or editors makes articles more exciting, accessible, and interesting.

Preproof and proof production

We use MS Publisher as our production program as it is readily available in all regions. The production of proofs takes an experienced person about 30 minutes a page.
