ERIC R. WILD

ERIK R. WILD has had a life-long fascination with amphibians and reptiles. He received his
B.S. in Biology and Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his M.A. and Ph.D. in
Systematics & Ecology (Herpetology) from the University of Kansas. He has interests in general herpetology,
especially of his home state of Wisconsin, and in systematics and ecology of neotropical frogs. He has 18 published
papers and six technical reports, and has served as Associate Editor for the Journal of Herpetology and as chair of
the SSAR Grants-in-Herpetology program. After 13 years on the faculty of the Department of Biology at his alma
mater he left UWSP to live in Brazil with his herpetologist wife and their daughter. He is currently living in Belo
Horizonte, Brazil, and is an Honorary Associate of the Department of Biology at UWSP.
